View our warrantyWe use PPG Paints on projects where exterior durability and coverage performance matter most. PPG Diamond and their Timeless line provide the kind of film strength and colour retention that holds up through the toughest Canadian winters.
We use PPG Paints because their formulation science is world-class — PPG is one of the largest coatings manufacturers on the planet, and that research investment shows up directly in product performance. The PPG Diamond interior line is a self-priming, high-hide formula that covers beautifully in two coats even over dark or heavily patched surfaces. The finish cures hard and remains cleanable without burnishing, making it a strong choice for family-oriented residential interiors where walls take daily punishment. We recommend PPG Diamond for clients prioritizing hide power and value in a premium coating.
For exterior applications, PPG's Timeless line is one of the standout performers in Canadian climates. Its advanced acrylic formulation provides outstanding resistance to UV fading, moisture penetration, and the extreme thermal cycling that Ontario homes experience between January and August. The Timeless line is particularly effective on wood siding, stucco, and fibre cement — surfaces that require a coating with genuine flexibility and adhesion strength. We have seen PPG exterior products maintain colour and film integrity significantly longer than mid-grade alternatives on comparable projects.
PPG also provides an excellent range of primers and specialty coatings that complement our full project workflow. Their water-based alkyd primers bond exceptionally to problematic surfaces like chalk-painted walls, slick or previously glossy trim, and bare wood — surfaces where proper priming is the difference between a paint job that lasts a decade and one that starts peeling in two years. PPG's commitment to sustainability is reflected in their expanding range of low-VOC and zero-VOC formulas, which we use in occupied homes and commercial spaces where indoor air quality is a priority.
We'll bring the expertise. Every Sigma Painting project is backed by professional-grade products, meticulous prep, and a team that cares about the result as much as you do.

Every swatch below is a screen approximation — PPG does not publish screen values, and every colour shifts with the light in the room. We bring physical chips and sample pots to the estimate so you see the real thing on your own wall.
Secret Safari, PPG's 2026 Colour of the Year, with the forecast colours clients are pairing it with — soft greens and stone neutrals to carry it, and a few deep anchors for doors and cabinetry.
Colour of the Year 2026. A mid-tone yellow-green with a lime undertone that reads calm in daylight and deeper in shadow. Kitchen islands, mudrooms and a front door beside a warm white.
A soft, muted green — the quieter companion to Secret Safari. Bedrooms and living rooms.
PPG's timeless off-white. Trim and ceilings against any of the greens.
A warm sand neutral. Open-plan main floors that need warmth without colour.
A cool, light grey. Bathrooms and contemporary condos.
A warm copper-brown. An accent wall or a dining room with brass.
A jewel green. Kitchen cabinets, studies and exterior doors.
A deep blue-black. Window frames, exterior trim and interior doors.
PPG whites tend to sit clean and neutral, which makes them easy trim partners for the greens and browns in this year’s palette. We sample two on the wall before committing a whole home to one.
The most-specified PPG white. Clean without being cold; walls, trim and ceilings together.
A soft white with a faint grey base. Contemporary interiors and rooms with a lot of glass.
A neutral, slightly cool white. Ceilings, and the standard spec on commercial and builder work.
A warm, creamy white. Older homes with stained wood and brass hardware.
The earthy neutrals that replaced flat grey on most main floors. All of them carry enough warmth to sit well with oak floors and stone, and none read as a colour from across the room.
A light warm sand. The safe whole-home neutral when a client cannot decide.
A muted mid-tone tan. Halls, stairwells and exteriors beside brick.
A warm, pastoral tan. Family rooms and mudrooms.
A warm caramel brown. An accent wall, or exterior trim on a stone house.
A deeper earth tone. Exterior body colour with Delicate White trim.
A dark, earthy brown. Front doors, islands and a single dining-room wall.
From the lightest grey with any body down to straight black. Grey has moved off most walls, but it is still the workhorse for exteriors, doors, islands and window frames.
A soft stone grey. The grey to use if a client still wants grey walls.
A cool, light grey. Bathrooms and contemporary condos.
A soft neutral mid-grey. Dining rooms and offices.
A cool mid-grey. Lower kitchen cabinets and exterior body colour.
A deep mineral grey. Exterior siding, and islands against white perimeter cabinets.
A grounding charcoal. Front doors and feature walls.
A softened black with a metallic cast. Window frames and interior doors.
PPG's straight black. Modern-farmhouse windows and exterior trim.
The blues, greens and reds we are asked for most. Most of these behave like neutrals in a room — deep enough to anchor cabinetry or a study without shouting.
The navy. Front doors, islands and studies; it sits in a room as a neutral.
A soft blue-grey. Bathrooms and bedrooms.
A water-inspired soft green. Nurseries and north-facing rooms.
A rich green. Kitchen cabinets and mudroom built-ins.
A jewel green. Colour-drenched dining rooms and libraries.
Colour of the Year 2025. A deep plum for powder rooms and studies.
A warm copper-brown. Accent walls and dining rooms with brass.
A rich, grounded red. Front doors and one-wall statements.
Colour consultation is part of every Sigma estimate. We look at your floors, light, fixed finishes and the rooms next door, narrow it to two or three, and paint sample boards you can move around the house before a single wall is done.
